Create and Maintain Personal Value

There is nothing greater you can do for yourself in the world of business than valuing yourself and knowing your worth. One of the biggest failures in someone’s business is their lack of value in themselves or within their product.
I’ve known people in the world of business that don’t place the proper value on themselves. You always hear about people “dealing” with others in business. You have businessmen that will try to undercut or talk down the price of something to get the best deal possible. Sure, this might work in the world of used cars, but if you are looking to build a great personal brand, then you are going to want to stand your ground and not “deal” with anyone.
Know your worth. Whatever it is that you are building, you know you have put more into it than most people will ever understand. You know the worth of your business and your product, so don’t let anyone try to devalue that.
If you value yourself and your product then your clients will value you. Don’t ever lower a price because you are afraid the client will resent you for it. If you ever waiver on your price even once, the client will then believe you are always overcharging and will beat you down on price continually, however long the business relationship lasts, devaluing you and your business.
When there is a mutual value between you and your clients, your business will thrive. Whenever there is a struggle over the value someone brings to the table, it will hinder the success either person will have in the partnership.
